LeeAnne "Lex" Valentine is currently a therapist specializing in Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy and Human Sexuality Therapy.
Lex received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from University of Phoenix in 2014, along with a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University in 2018. Lex completed her externship at Deaf Wellness Center from January 2018 to December 2018. She practiced as a clinician staff at Deaf Wellness Center afterwards.
In addition to her outpatient work, Lex was trained and certified formally by IGNITE and Planned Parenthood to work with deaf clients who have gone through various traumas and need therapeutic assistance.
Lex also received the Humanitarian Award by National Action Network led by Reverend Al Sharpton in February 2020. She has also received numerous awards relating to her work. Lex regularly travels nationally to give workshops or presentations on mental health awareness for BiPOC's.
In 2024, Lex was a recipent of the Eugene L. Petersen Award at the ADARA conference in Atlanta, GA.
Lex is currently conducting individual, couples, and family counseling for adults, with supplementation of parental coaching. She also provides sex life counseling, including family planning assistance.
Lex also enjoys her work as an adjunct professor at NTID, specializing in racial/societal/personal relations.
