LeeAnne "Lex" Valentine is a therapist specializing in Marriage and Family dynamics.

 

Lex received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from University of Phoenix in 2014, along with a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University in 2018. She completed her externship at Deaf Wellness Center from January 2018 to December 2018. She practiced as a clinical staff member at Deaf Wellness Center until 2021.

 

Lex is currently counseling individuals, couples, family therapy for adults, and minors in the range of ages 10-17. She also provides sex therapy, including family planning assistance. Lex also provides group therapy. In addition to her outpatient work, she was trained and certified formally by Deaf IGNITE and Planned Parenthood to work with deaf clients who have gone through various traumas and need therapeutic assistance.

Lex has had the honor of receiving the ​Humanitarian Award in February of 2020 by the National Action Network, led by Reverend Al Sharpton; along with other subsequent recognitions related to her field of work. She also has traveled nationally to give workshops or presentations on mental health awareness for BiPOC's.
